Visit from our local Firemen

Zach left today for the senior class trip. Lindsey is staying with me while he is gone. She called me at 5:15 PM this evening as she was driving to my house. She got to my street and there were about 10 cop cars and a couple of fire trucks blocking my street.
Apparently there was a fire behind the houses across the street from our house. There are some woods behind those houses. Thanks to our local fire department the fire was contained and was never a major threat to any of the houses in our neighborhood.

Tristan was so excited to see the big firetrucks up close and to see real firemen.

We tried to get Tristan to take a picture with the firemen, but he got a little scared once we got to the truck. So, Aunt Lindsey just held him in front of the truck. You can see he was very taken with the whole situation. We thought since Tristan wasn't up for taking a picture in the truck Gavin wouldn't mind. Well, we were wrong. Right after the fireman placed him on the seat and got his hat placed next to him he started to cry. It was a little scary for him as well. But what a cute picture :-)

Cute pictures, even with the tears.

This was a little disturbing news as we are in Thailand :) Glad all is OK.
